Attendees at this in-person event will have the option to visit four concurrent industry shows in a multilayered expo and educational experience.

After so many virtual industry events, people are once again packing their bags for in-person gatherings. The packaging-related one currently generating buzz is PackEx Toronto 2021, to be held November 9-11 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

PackEx Toronto is Canada’s only dedicated packaging event, attracting suppliers and buyers interested in the latest packaging, engineering, and technology innovations. In addition to a comprehensive exposition, the event will feature numerous free packaging education and training opportunities.

The PackEx show is one of five to be held concurrently at this year’s Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) Toronto event. The others are:

• Plast-Ex
• Automation Technology Expo (ATX)
• Powder & Bulk Solids
• Design & Manufacturing (D&M)

Together, the five events provide a one-stop experience of the trends and technologies shaping advanced design and manufacturing across packaging, plastics, processing, automation, robotics, energy efficiency, and more.

PackEx will include an expo with more than 120 exhibitors, plus an educational program that includes 26 sessions divided into three tracks: Center Stage, Networking and Receptions, and Product Showcase.

Hot topics will include food and beverage packaging, sustainability, and robotics. The event will also feature the latest in manufacturing equipment, 3D printing, flexible packaging, labeling, and packaging design.

PackEx’s educational sessions will include a panel discussion, “Scaling Reusable Packaging Models in Canada,” to explore the challenges and opportunities of new reusable-packaging business models, products, and technologies.

In another panel session, “A Circular Economy for Plastics and its Pivotal Role in a Net-Zero Future,” stakeholders from across the plastics value chain will talk about advanced recycling, designing plastics for circularity and functionality, and government policy vis-à-vis plastics and managing plastic waste.
